How to Fix Wet Ugg Boots

How to Fix Wet Ugg Boots thumbnail
Snow is pretty, but it is damaging to UGG boots.

Over jeans, with a skirt and over leggings are just a few ways girls and women sport their UGG boots. Despite their description as boots, UGGs are not made for inclement weather because moisture is extremely damaging to the material used to make them. While UGGs are made to keep your feet warm during cold weather, they are not ideal for wear in the snow or rain; wear them on cold, dry days to preserve them. From time to time your boots may be exposed to inclement weather or you may find that you need to wash your boots to remove dirt and stains.

Instructions

    • 1

Wash your boots with cold water. Never wash them with hot or warm water because it will damage the sheepskin exterior of the boots.

    • 2

Fill each wet UGG boot with balled-up paper towels. This helps them maintain their natural shape when they become wet, whether you wet them intentionally to wash them or unintentionally from inclement weather.

    • 3

Allow your boots to air dry while filled with paper towels. Do not place them near extreme heat such as fireplaces or furnaces and avoid placing them in direct sunlight.
