How to Make Baby Shower Teddy Bear Invitations thumbnail
Feature teddy bears on your baby shower invitation.

Teddy bears are forever having their own picnics, but they can also be a cuddly and fun feature at a baby shower. Use one of the country’s earlier presidents as features on your next baby shower invitation by designing custom cards in Windows Paint. Found in the "Accessories" folder of all Windows operating systems, Paint offers a way to “bear” the effort of making your own cards quickly and creatively.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch Windows Paint. Click the small drop-down arrow in the top-left corner of the work area and select “Open.” Browse to a picture of a teddy bear and double-click the file name. After the picture opens in Paint, click the “Select” button on the ribbon. Click “Free-form selection” and draw an outline around the teddy bear. Click the “Copy” button to the left of the “Select” button on the ribbon.

Click the Paint button’s arrow again and choose “New.” Click “Properties.” Type the dimensions for the invitation, such as “5” in the “Width” box and “7” in the “Height” box. Click “Inches” from the “Units” section and click the “OK” button.

    • 3

Click the “Paste” button on the left side of the ribbon. The copied teddy bear pastes in. Drag it into place on the invitation, such as the bottom-right corner. Paste additional copies, such as small teddy bears to form a border around the edges of the invitation, or scattered across the face of the invitation.

Choose a color, such as pink or blue, from the “Colors” portion of the ribbon. Click the “A” tool on the ribbon. Click the invitation. Choose a font and text size.

    • 5

Type the baby shower information, such as the parent(s)-to-be, location and date of the event, where the parents are registered, theme, what will be served and how to respond. If you’re doing a teddy bear theme, you may want to include whether to bring a bear to donate or a personal favorite of the invitee’s to show off.

Choose another color from the “Colors” section, different from the invitation shade. Click the paint bucket icon on the ribbon and click anywhere on the background of the invitation to fill it with color. You may want to do a pink background with black text, light blue background with dark blue text or a yellow background with green text for parents who don’t know the sex of their babies. You can also choose teddy bear-brown as a background. Skip this step if you’ll be printing the invitations on colored or printed card stock.

Click the Paint button’s drop-down arrow and select “Save As.” Enter a name for the invitation and click the “Save” button.
