How to Sell Bed Sheets as a Fundraiser
Everyone needs sheets, and rolling in the luxury of fine linen is a hard treat to beat. A popular fund-raising idea for groups, charities, teams and schools, 1,200- to 1,500-thread count Egyptian cotton sheet sets are a way to net from $10 to $20 profit per sheet set. Since sheet sets are a higher priced item than the standard cookies or candy bar fare, you can likely reach your fund-raising goals quicker. Several companies specialize in helping groups raise funds through bed sheet sales.

1
Contact a bed linen supplier that works with organizations for fund-raising. Several companies are online. Ask what is needed to start a bed sheet fundraiser and the suggested selling price of each sheet set.
-
2
Purchase one or more sets of sheets from the supplier. A sample of the bed sheets will be your best sales tool.

3
Set up a table at an event, grocery store, high school football game, drugstore or other outdoor venue. Alternatively, take the sheet set sample to work with you. Ask your colleagues and co-workers if they would like to buy a set for your fundraiser. Have a sales pitch ready; show them the quality of the sheets and why your organization needs funds.
-
4
Take orders and collect the funds. Write down the size, color and quantity that each individual wants next to her name. Create or use a supplied order form. Online companies typically have a form available for download from their website.
-
5
Tally up the quantity of each size and color of sheets to be purchased from the supplier. Make a copy of the order form to use when the sheet supply is delivered to you.
-
6
Send the order form in with the money to the sheet supplier. Keep the portion above the actual costs of the sheets to fund your project.
-
7
Wait for the delivery of the sheet sets. Depending on the company, they could take one to two weeks or longer.
-
8
Separate your orders according to whatever system works best for you and deliver your sheet sets to the buyers.
