How to Make a Baby Burp Rag Bouquet
Burp cloths are an indispensable item to have around with a new baby. Help a new mother to keep herself and her new baby clean and dry with a bouquet of burp cloths. Use standard white cloths for a functional gift and wrap each burp cloth bouquet in colorful cellophane wrap and brightly colored ribbons. You can also skip the cellophane wrap and make the bouquet from colorful burp cloths instead. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Burp cloths
- Safety pins
- 1/4-inch-wide wooden dowel
- Cellophane wrap
- Ribbon
- Basket or flowerpot
- Baby blanket or receiving blanket
- Floral foam

Lay a burp cloth on your work surface and fold it in half lengthwise. Fold it in half lengthwise again. Continue to fold the cloth until it measures about 1 1/2 inches wide.

Roll up the burp cloth like you would roll a jellyroll and insert two safety pins spaced about 1/2 inch apart to keep the end of the roll in place.

Slide the end of a wooden dowel into the end of the roll, in between the safety pins.

Wrap a large piece of cellophane around the burp cloth and tie it in a bow beneath the cloth.

Repeat the above steps to make as many burp cloth flowers for the bouquet as you like.

Fold a baby blanket or receiving blanket in half lengthwise. Fold it one more time.

Wrap the folded blanket around the inside of a basket or flowerpot. Place a piece of floral foam in the center of the basket or flowerpot and insert the ends of the wooden dowels into the foam.
