Instructions

    • 1

Use scissors to cut a piece of fabric and iron on stabilizer to the size of your cutting mat. Cricut makes cutting mats 6-by-12-inches, 12-inches square and 12-by-24-inches.

    • 2

Heat your iron to the setting noted on the stabilizer instructions. Place your fabric face down on the ironing board and lay the stabilizer, paper side up over the fabric. Iron the stabilizer onto the fabric following the instructions noted on the package. Remove the paper backing from the fabric.

    • 3

Smooth the stabilized fabric onto the cutting mat. Apply painters tape to all the edged to help keep the fabric in place.

    • 4

Load the cartridge slot on the front of the Cricut.

    • 5

Turn the Cricut on and lay the keyboard overlay over the blank keys of the Cricut.

    • 6

Feed the mat into the rollers of the Cricut and press “Load Paper.”

    • 7

Press the corresponding buttons for the letters or images you want to cut. Adjust the size of the image by turning the size dial on the Cricut machine.

    • 8

Press “Cut” on the keypad. When the Cricut has finished cutting press “Unload Paper.”

    • 9

Remove the fabric applique from the mat. Sew or iron the applique onto your item.
