How to Make Homemade Paper Christmas Stockings
In terms of decorating and gift-giving, Christmas is one of the most fun times of the year. Get your children into the holiday spirit by letting them make their own Christmas stockings out of paper. They can decorate their creations and hang them by their beds, to be filled with tiny treasures and candies on Christmas Eve. Some simple ingredients are all you need to let young children be creative.

Things You'll Need
- Stocking template
- Brown grocery bags
- Pencil
- Scissors
- White glue
- Markers
- Decorations such as glitter, stickers, foam shapes

Place a paper bag on a table or other smooth surface. Place the stocking template on top of the bag and trace the shape of the stocking with a pencil.

Cut out the traced shape. You will have two identical stocking shapes.

Place glue on the edges of one of the stocking halves. Place the second half on top of the first, and place a heavy weight on top of them so they stick together as the glue dries.

Let children decorate both sides of their stockings with markers, glitter, stickers, foam shapes, and other materials.
