DIY Leotard Costumes
If you don't feel like shelling out big bucks for a Halloween costume or you just need to pull together something quick and easy, a leotard can be the basis for many creative and cute Halloween looks. Leotards are inexpensive and, with a few of the right accessories, can be dressed up to create a Halloween look for kids or adults.

- Dark-colored leotard and tights
- Safety pins
- Purple, red or green balloons
- Pink leotard and tights
- Pink tutu or skirt
- Ballet slippers
- Fairy wings
- Wand
- Black leotard and tights

- Black eyeliner pencil
Instructions

Pull on a dark-colored leotard and tights for the foundation of the costume.

Blow up some grape-colored balloons, such as purple, red or green.

Attach the balloons to the leotard with safety pins. Use as many balloons as you are comfortable with. Allow enough space for walking easily.
Ballerina/Fairy

Use a pink-colored leotard and tights for a ballerina costume.

Add a pink tutu or fluffy skirt and pink ballet slippers.

Turn your ballerina into a fairy by slipping on a pair of store-bought fairy wings. Add a magic wand to complete the look.
