1
Cut several stalks of hydrangeas and place them in tall, glass vases half full of water. If desired, place appropriately colored cut glass, glass rocks or pebbles in the bottoms of the vases to match the color theme of the wedding. If the color of hydrangeas you use in the vases matches the main color of the wedding, wrap a ribbon in an accent color around the vases.

2
Separate each hydrangea bloom into several smaller blooms, and scatter the blooms over the tables. Pick a color of flower that not only suits the colors of the wedding but also the table linen. With white table linen, for example, try purple hydrangeas if the colors suit the wedding. Or, with black linens, use contrasting white hydrangeas.

3
Place stalks of hydrangea atop guests' napkins, either under the napkin rings or just laying on the napkins and cutlery. If the hydrangea blooms are considerably too large to suit the size of the rolled napkins, trim them to an appropriate size.
-
4
Set a large, shallow glass bowl in the center of each table and fill it with water, floating candles and hydrangea blooms. If you don't wish to use floating candles, set candle holders in the water, and place tall candles in them.
