How to Propose to Kai in "Harvest Moon DS Cute"
Prior to "DS Cute," the protagonists of all the "Harvest Moon" games have been male. This edition, however, allows the fairer sex to take the lead role in Namco's renowned farm-life simulator. There are many eligible bachelors your character can woo over the course of the game, including Kai, a bachelor who visits your town from nearby Mineral Town every summer. You can't just come up and propose marriage, however; there are several hoops through which you must jump to propose to the handsome vagabond.

Give Kai lots of gifts whenever he is in town. His favorite gift is pineapple, but he also enjoys eggs, yogurt, fish and all kinds of curry.

Experience all four of Kai's heart events. Each one will occur when you have raised his love for you -- usually through the giving of gifts -- and when you meet him at the right time and place. The first two heart events occur on sunny days at the beach, while the third event happens between 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the beach on any sunny day that is not Thursday. The final event occurs at the inn between 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on sunny days

Upgrade your house twice through the village woodcutter. You will need a large house in which to raise a family.

Purchase the Big Bed from the shopping channel.

Rescue 60 harvest sprites.

Purchase the Blue Feather item from Karen's shop, then give it to Kai after completing all the aforementioned steps. You will automatically propose marriage to him.
