How to Jazz Up a Black Dress

Instructions

Daytime

1. Wear a bright-colored, structured blazer or chunky cardigan sweater over the black dress for a professional office look. Wear a wide belt to define the natural waistline, and for a fashionable pop, top off this daytime look with classic ballet flats in a metallic color.

2. Wear a T-shirt, turtleneck, or a dress shirt under the black dress for a layered look. Layering covers more skin and takes an evening look to daytime. Add over-the-knee boots and thick tights for cooler climates to complete this layered look.
