How to Open a PowerPoint on an iPhone
The iPhone has a built in "Quick Look" feature that is compatible with PowerPoint presentation documents, allowing you to view the interactive slideshows and charts associated with this aspect of Microsoft Office. Once a PowerPoint file has been received by the iPhone through email, Internet download or a cloud storage system, you can view the file directly on the device. To edit a PowerPoint document, however, a third-party application would have to be installed on the iPhone.

1
Launch the Mail, Safari or cloud storage application -- such as Dropbox, Google Docs or MobileMe -- that contains your PowerPoint file by tapping its icon on the iPhone's Home screen.
-
2
Locate the PowerPoint file by browsing through your emails or through the files in the cloud storage application. If you are downloading a PowerPoint file from the Internet, navigate to the relevant webpage in Safari that contains the download link.

-
3
Tap the PowerPoint file's button in the relevant application, or its download link in Safari, to download the full file to the iPhone. Even though a button is already present for the file, the iPhone does not automatically download large files until instructed to do so.
-
4
Tap the PowerPoint file's button again once download has completed. The file will open for viewing in the Quick Look window.
-
5
Tap and hold the PowerPoint file's button if you want to open it in a third-party application installed on your iPhone. A context menu will appear with a button for each PowerPoint-compatible application. Tap the relevant button to open the PowerPoint file in that application.
