Instructions

    • 1

Gather empty Capri Sun pouches. Cut the bottom of the Capri Suns open and in half, creating two separate pieces from the front and back of the packet. Make sure to get rid of all the juice inside by cleaning the Capri Suns thoroughly with soap and water.

Create the front of the purse by putting three of the pouches side to side next to each other. Tape the sides of each of the three Capri Suns together with duct tape. This should be one strip when you finish. Create the back of the purse. Connect another strip of Capri Suns by taping three more Capri Suns together.

Create the bottom of the purse by joining two drink pouches together by the bottom edges with dunk tape. Create the sides of the purse by bending the bottom corners of Capri Suns in order to create a bigger curve at the bottom of the purse. Duct tape the side of the purse to the front side of the purse, and tape the sides to the back of the purse. Make sure that the edges are lined together. Tape the bottom of the purse to the rest of the pieces.

Create the handle of the purse. Cut a Capri Sun and fold it into the desired width that you want the strap to be. Cut more straps of Capri Suns and connect each of the straps by duct taping around the strip. Stop when you make your desired strap length. Attach the ends of the straps by duct taping them to the insides of the purse. Make sure the tape straps are secured or the handles will not stay attached.

Add decorations to the purse. Create a connecting flap to the purse by cutting and bending a Capri Sun in half and taping the bottom to the back middle section of the purse and putting sticky Velcro under the front flap of the purse and in the middle of the front of the purse. You can also use a glue gun to glue accessories onto the purse once you finish.
