How to Remove Gum in Hair Using Peanut Butter
Gum and hair really shouldn't mix, but unfortunately there are times that they do come into contact with each other. Luckily, there is a way to remove the gum without having to resort to cutting out the affected area. Using peanut butter is a natural and effective way to get the gum out without damaging your hair. Things You'll Need
- 1 to 2 tbsp. peanut butter
- Unused toothbrush (optional)
- Clean cloth or paper towels
- Shampoo

Apply the peanut butter to the area of you hair where the gum has become stuck.

Rub the peanut butter in and either massage the area with your fingers or brush the area from top to bottom using an unused toothbrush.

Continue massaging or brushing for two to three minutes. Most of the gum should have broken down.

Wipe out the peanut butter and any gum residue with paper towels or a clean cloth.

Wash your hair with your regular shampoo, according to the package instructions, to get rid of any remaining oil from the peanut butter.

Do not use this method if you're allergic to peanuts.
