How to Delete the Shortcut With Shift for Yahoo! Mail Classic

Permanently delete the “Yahoo! Mail Classic” shortcut from your Windows computer desktop once your Yahoo! Mail has been converted to the new format. If you click the shortcut once and press the “Delete” key, the shortcut will be moved to the Recycle Bin rather than being deleted. Use the “Shift” key in conjunction with “Delete” to permanently delete the “Yahoo! Mail Classic” shortcut.

Instructions

1. Click once on the “Yahoo! Mail Classic” shortcut usually located on the Windows 7 desktop.

2. Press and hold the “Shift” key.

3. Tap the “DEL” or “Delete” key.

4. Double-click on the desktop “Recycle Bin” icon and note that the “Yahoo! Mail Classic” shortcut is gone.
