Deleting the metadata from an MP3 file allows you to remove some of the information that a program may have added to it. When creating or editing an MP3 file, some programs add information to it, such as, for example, the title of the album containing that particular song or the name of the performer. This type of information, known as metadata, can then be used by media players to, for example, organize a media library or playlists. You can delete an MP3 file's metadata by editing the file's properties.
