How to Refill Modified Lighters
Refilling your modified lighter can be faster, and is certainly cheaper, than buying and modifying a new disposable. Happily, it is also a relatively easy task to perform. Even if you didn't modify the lighter yourself, you should have no trouble refueling it. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Take off the metal casing at the top of the lighter. It should be possible to remove it with your fingers, as it will be loose as a result of being modified. If not, use the pliers.
-
2
Remove the wheel and the spring that's housed beneath it from the lighter head. This should be possible to do with your fingers.

3
Take out the gas valve, using the pliers. The valve is set into the plastic and is connected to the end of the plastic tube. Don't worry if it doesn't come out easily. Pulling the valve out won't break the casing; it isn't glued in place.

4
Take out the tube that was connected to the valve. You should now have easy access to refill the lighter. Spray the fuel into the casing in bursts; if you do it too quickly it may crack the casing.
-
5
Put all the parts back in reverse order: tube, valve, spring, sparking wheel, and finally fit the case back in place. Make sure it isn't loose; you don't want fuel leaking into your pocket.

Tips & Warnings
Don't attempt to refill a lighter that still has fuel in it; you'll likely end up spilling on your hands, wasting the fuel.
Never refill a lighter right after it has been used, as the gas could ignite.
Keep modified lighters separate from unmodified ones. They can be very dangerous to the unsuspecting user.
