How to Crochet an Adult Poncho

Things You'll Need

• 4 skeins, medium-weight wool
• Size J crochet hook
• Scissors
• Yarn needle

Instructions

1. Chain 111 stitches using your size J crochet hook. Single crochet in the second chain from the hook. Single crochet each stitch across. Join your last single crochet stitch to your first stitch.

2. Chain three stitches. Double crochet the next stitch. Chain one, double crochet the next stitch and repeat across. Join your last stitch to your first stitch with a slip stitch.

3. Chain four stitches. Double crochet stitch in the first stitch. Chain one, double crochet in the next stitch and repeat across. Join the last stitch to the first stitch using a slip stitch. Repeat this step until your poncho is of the desired length. Bind off.

4. Attach the yarn using a slip stitch to the neckline of the poncho. Chain three, skip two stitches, slip the next stitch and repeat around. Join your last stitch to the first stitch. Bind off.

5. Weave in any loose ends using your yarn needle.
