How to Remove a Tagged Photo From Your Profile Page thumbnail
Protect your privacy by removing unwanted photo tags.

Very often, your friends might snap photos of you when you're out; they also might post those pictures to their Facebook page. When a friend tags a photo, it means that they name everyone in the picture. If you're tagged in a photo, it will automatically appear on your profile page without your approval, which can be inconvenient. You may not like the picture or you may have other reasons for not wanting all your Facebook friends to see it. If you don’t want certain photos displayed on your page, Facebook gives you the option to remove the tag.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your Facebook account.

    • 2

Click “Profile” from the menu on the top right.

    • 3

Choose “Photos” from the column on far left under your profile picture.

    • 4

Click on the photo you wish to remove from your profile.

    • 5

Choose the “Remove” link directly under the photo, located next to the words “On Your Profile.” For more options, scroll down and choose “Report/Remove Tag” instead. This allows you to report the photo as inappropriate, ask your friend to take the photo down, or block the friend who put the photo up.
