How to Make a Styrofoam Heart With Red Felt
Styrofoam is a versatile substance. It is often used to protect fragile objects when they are being shipped, but it can also be useful in craft projects. Styrofoam can be purchased in blocks that you can carve into whatever shape you desire or in pre-cut shapes you can incorporate into your project. You can cut a block of Styrofoam into a heart shape and cover it in red felt to use in a craft project or as a Valentine's Day decoration.

3
Cut out the heart shape from the Styrofoam using a utility knife. Discard the excess Styrofoam.

4
Place the heart shape on a sheet of red felt. Trace the outline of the heart onto the felt and cut out the felt outline.
-

Plug in your hot glue gun and wait for the glue to heat up. Apply the hot glue to the edges and middle of the Styrofoam heart and place the red felt outline onto the heart. Press the felt down onto the Styrofoam for 30 seconds until the glue has hardened.
