Instructions

    • 1

Cut strips of tulle 2 inches wide with straight scissors or pinking shears for a zigzag edge. Cut these strips from an entire yard of tulle. The strip length does not matter, as several strips will come together to form the wreath, with the edges of each length invisible when they blend with each other.

    • 2

Thread a sewing needle with an 18-inch section of monofilament line and knot the end.

    • 3

Insert the needle into the end of one of the tulle strips.

    • 4

Gather the tulle 2 inches from the insertion and fold the strip over the needle. Move another 2 inches along the strip and fold it over the needle. Continue folding the material over the needle until you reach the end of the strip.

    • 5

Repeat the process for all of your strips or until the monofilament line has only 1 inch left uncovered by tulle.

    • 6

Tie the uncovered end of line around the knotted end. Secure it with a knot. The wreath may be misshapen at this point; fluff the tulle to shape it into a circle.

    • 7

Place the tulle wreath over a round mirror or a decorative serving tray at the center of the table. Place pillar candles or another object, such as a vase or figurine, in the center of the wreath.
