How to Decorate Your Front Door for Mardi Gras
Let the good times roll at Mardi Gras, starting with your door. Festoon your front door with festive beads and decorations reflecting the traditional Mardi Gras colors of purple, green and gold. These colors represent justice, faith and power, according to "Boudreaux's Cajun Party Guide," by Larry Boudreaux. Things You'll Need
- Clear packing tape
- Purple paper tablecloth
- Utility knife
- Purple, green and gold beads
- 2 white face masks
- Craft paints
- Craft glue
- Feathers

Tape a purple paper tablecloth over your front door with clear packing tape for the background of the decorated door.

Cut out the shape of the doorknob from the paper tablecloth with a utility knife.

Attach strings of purple, gold and green beads to the tablecloth with clear packing tape taped over one section of the beads. Hang the beads at various heights to add interest to the door.

Decorate two white face masks with craft paints and attach feathers to the sides of the masks with craft glue.

Tape the masks to the door by the string meant to hold the mask against your face. Attach the masks on the upper portions of the door, one on the right and one on the left.
