Satin Shirt Laundry Instructions
Washing a satin shirt in the washing machine with the rest of your laundry could be a big mistake. Satin fabric is not a single type of fabric, but a group of fabrics that have a sheen on one side and a duller side on the other. Regardless of the type of satin shirt you have, machine-washing it can dull the finish of the shinier side and possibly ruin the shirt. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Fill your bathtub or utility sink with warm water and just enough delicate laundry detergent to create suds.
-
2
Gently rub the fabric together and work it into the suds until the entire shirt is lightly lathered.
-
-
3
Rinse the shirt with cold water directly under the spigot until the water that flows off it is clear and free of suds.
-
4
Hang the shirt to dry over a laundry drying rack, a clothes hanger over your shower curtain rod or on a clothes line. Wringing the shirt will ruin its shape and placing it in the dryer will ruin the sheen.
