Things You'll Need
- Fabric, multiple colors and patterns
- Scissors
- Pinking shears
- Stretched canvas
- Mod Podge
- Sponge brush
- Acrylic varnish, clear

Cut out rectangles and squares from different fabrics using scissors or pinking shears. Size the shapes as large or as small as you prefer. Scissors cut with a sharp edge, while pinking shears cut with a scalloped edge.

Cover the surface of a stretched canvas with a thick layer of Mod Podge using a sponge brush.

Apply the fabric shapes over the Mod Podge-covered canvas, lining up the edges of each shape so that it is 1/8 inch apart from the other shapes. Allow the Mod Podge to dry for 30 minutes.

Apply a thin layer of clear, acrylic varnish over the entire surface of the canvas, which will seal in the fabric and Mod Podge. Allow the varnish to dry for one hour before displaying the Mod Podge mosaic canvas art.
