How to Respond to Webroot IE Hijack Notice
Webroot provides Internet security while you surf the Web from an Internet Explorer browser. If you browser has been hijacked, you may receive a notice that your Webroot software is not working properly. Hijacking of your browser causes malicious software to run within your search sessions and automatically redirects you to predetermined sites with spam and advertising. You must run an antivirus program to respond to the hijack notice and get rid of it. Microsoft provides a free antivirus program called Microsoft Safety Scanner that is capable of getting rid of the Webroot IE Hijack files.
