How to Log Out of Gmail on Android
You don't need to log out of the Gmail application on Android-based phones, you only need to close the app. If you have multiple Gmail accounts set up on your phone, use the Accounts feature to select which account to view. To log out of the Gmail app, you must remove your settings, which will clear all data, delete all files, and remove all Gmail accounts from the app.

Open Gmail on your Android phone. Tap the "Menu" option.

Touch "Accounts."

Tap the account that you want to view.
Clear Data

Select "Settings" and then "Applications."

Tap "Manage Applications."

Touch "All" and select "Gmail."

Select "Clear Data." The next time you open Gmail, enter your username and password, then set up your account with the app.

Tips & Warnings
If you are using a browser instead of the Gmail app, click the down arrow next to your email address in the top right corner, then select "Sign Out."
