Use the WiFi feature on the Nook Color to download books and browse the Web.

The Nook Color uses a WiFi connection to download books and other media, synchronize the e-reader with your Barnes & Noble account, and for connecting to the Web and your email account. Turn on WiFi and connect to a local network to use the feature. To log in to a secure network, you need to know the network's password.

Instructions

    • 1

Tap the white arrow at the bottom of the screen, touch "Settings" and then "Wireless."

    • 2

Touch the "Off" button next to "Wi-Fi" to turn on WiFi. The Nook Color automatically searches for available networks and lists them on the screen.

    • 3

Tap the name of the WiFi network to which you want to connect. The Nook Color connects to the network if it is not secured; a popup window appears on the screen requesting the network password if the network is secured.

    • 4

Touch the text box on the popup window to access the on-screen keyboard, type the password and then tap "Connect."
