How to Make a Toe Spacer
A toe spacer is a small foam contraption that is used during a pedicure or nail polish application to avoid smudging. While toe spacers may not seem like an essential item for the female grooming kit, they make the tricky and intricate process of self-pedicure much more simple. You can create your own toe spacer easily at home with some basic craft materials. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Visit your local craft retailer and purchase a piece of spongy craft foam 5 to 6 inches in length and 2 to 3 inches in width.
-
2
Place your toes along the length of the foam and mark the position of the outside edge of both your big and little toe with fabric chalk.
-
-
3
Place your craft scissors on the first mark and cut in a straight line across the width of the foam. Place your craft scissors on the second mark and cut in a straight line across the width of the foam. You have now determined the length of your toe spacer.
-
4
Draw five "pegs" in the same shape as one of your little toes along the length of the foam with your fabric chalk. Draw a curved dip in the middle of each peg so they are joined in the middle to create one continuous, curvy line on the foam.
-
5
Cut around the curves and the dips of each peg on the foam with your craft scissors.
-
6
Place your toes in the toe spacer to determine if any foam needs to be removed from the bottom of the toe spacer. If necessary, cut in a straight line along the bottom of the toe spacer with your craft scissors to remove excess foam.
