Instructions

  1. Popcorn Preparation

    • 1

Prepare the popcorn in the microwave or popcorn maker, as instructed on the popcorn package.

    • 2

Pour the popcorn into a bowl and let it cool for at least five minutes. Season the popcorn with butter, cinnamon, garlic or other desired seasonings.

    • 3

Add about 10 drops of blue food coloring to one medium-size bowl. Add 10 drops of green food coloring to another bowl and 10 drops of red food coloring to one more bowl.

    • 4

Divide the popcorn evenly between the bowls. Put the lid on the bowls and shake to distribute the colors as evenly as possible.

    • 5

Remove the lids and let the popcorn sit for five minutes.

    Popcorn Necklace

    • 6

Cut a 60-inch-long piece of string or yarn, and thread it through the needle.

    • 7

Pull the string to double the thread, and tie the loose ends in a knot.

    • 8

Slide the popcorn, one piece at a time, onto the needle and down the length of the string. Leave about 1 inch of the string empty at each end.

    • 9

Cut the thread just below the eye of the needle.

    • 10

Tie the string ends together to complete the popcorn necklace.

    Stretchy Popcorn Bracelet

    • 11

Measure the circumference of your wrist. Add 2 inches and multiply the measurement by 2.

    • 12

Cut a piece of elastic thread to this length, and thread it through the needle. Pull to double the thread, and tie the loose ends in a knot.

    • 13

Slide the popcorn onto the needle and down the thread, leaving 1 inch empty at each end.

    • 14

Cut the thread just below the eye of the needle.

    • 15

Tie the elastic thread ends together to complete the popcorn bracelet.
