How to Make a Romantic Night Your Girlfriend Won't Forget

Take your girlfriend on a romantic picnic, complete with candles.

One way to keep your girlfriend on her toes is to surprise her with romantic gestures during your relationship. Instead of showering her with gifts or doing things for her, give her the most romantic evening possible. In one night, give her the ultimate romantic date. When you put the effort into such an evening, it's something she will never forget. Take the time to plan out every detail, down to the color of the tablecloth you use for your picnic.

Instructions

1. Pick your girlfriend up in your car, even if you don't live far away. Knock on her front door -- no beeping your horn from the driveway -- and escort her to your car, being sure to open her door for her. If you live in a city that offers carriage rides, choose that romantic mode of transportation instead.

2. Take her to a secluded location near the beach or in your favorite park near sunset. Have a picnic waiting in a basket, complete with her favorite meal, candles and wine. Sit together, feeding her and cuddling while watching the sun set. Picnic baskets are available during summer and spring at any department or household store, or at craft stores year round. Do not forget to pack warm clothes like a sweater if the temperature is going to drop. If you want her close, pack a blanket for two instead of a sweater. The two of you can cuddle under the blanket to stay warm.

3. Fill your MP3 player with a playlist that will make her swoon. Add classics like "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers, "You Look Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton and "Something" by The Beatles to a romantic playlist. Bring your battery-operated MP3 player dock with you to the picnic. After dinner, dance in the moonlight to romantic songs, pulling her close and whispering sweet thoughts in her ear.

4. Walk or drive her home. When you arrive, give her a massage to end the night while watching her favorite movie. It will leave a good memory as well as a relaxing end to the evening.

Tips & Warnings

• Give her small gifts throughout the night. For example, arrive with flowers or chocolate. Give her a set of earrings at dinner, or burn her a copy of the romantic playlist on CD. When she hears the playlist, she'll think of your romantic evening.
