How to Reset an Insignia Digital Picture Key Chain
Your Insignia digital-picture key chain has a maximum of 2MB of internal memory. If it is full, and you want to upload new photos, you might want reset the device. By doing so, you will avoid having to highlight and delete photos manually. You can also reset the clock display, slideshow transitioning and other viewing option settings. Start your computer. Use the USB cable that came with your key chain and connect the little end of the plug into your key chain and the USB end into your computer. The ImageViewer software will launch automatically.

Click "Format Device" when the menu screen appears. Select "Yes." Disconnect the USB cable from the key chain and computer when the formatting has completed.

Press the "Power/Menu" button on the key chain to open the Options menu. Press the "Reverse" and "Forward" arrow buttons to make your selections and adjustments. Select "Clock Display," and select "Normal" to display the date and time or "Water mark" to display the time when a slideshow is playing. Press the "Forward" arrow button when finished.

Select "Clock Set" to set the date and time. Press the "Forward" arrow button when finished.

Select "Transition Time" to set the amount of time a photo will display when playing a slideshow. Press the "Forward" arrow button when finished.

Select "Auto Off Setting" to set the amount of time to pass after no usage before the key chain shuts off automatically. Press the "Forward" arrow button when finished.

Select "Brightness" to adjust the brightness. Select "Set Language" to set the language in "Spanish, "English," or "French." Press the "Forward" arrow button when finished.

Tips & Warnings
Press and hold down the "Power/Menu" button on your Insignia digital picture key chain for five seconds if it does not turn on. Use the USB cable device that came with your device and connect it to the computer to charge the battery. A solid battery icon indicates that the device has a full charge.
The Options menu also has a "Delete Image" option available. Since you have just formatted your device, all images should have already been deleted. Use "Delete Image" to remove individual images; perform a reset to delete all of the photos and free up the 2 MB of internal memory.
Because all of the photos stored on your Insignia digital picture key chain will be deleted when you perform a reset, verify that the photos you want to keep are still on your computer before running that task.
