How to Scan on an HP PSC 2175 Printer
The HP PSC 2175 provides users with the ability to print, scan and copy documents. Hewlett-Packard (HP) designed the printer to produce printed documents on a variety of materials, including photo paper, envelopes and post cards. The PSC 2175 also allows users to print photos directly from SmartMedia, CompactFlash, Memory Stick and Secure Digital flash memory cards. You can scan a document using the PSC 2175 by placing it on the printer's glass panel and pressing the "scan" button.

Turn on the PSC 2175. Wait for the device to start up. Turn on your computer.

Lift the lid of the printer to reveal the glass panel. Set your document face down on the glass. Close the lid.

Press the "Scan" button once. Press the "Start Black" or "Start Color" button to create either a black-and-white or color image.

Click the "Accept" button inside the HP Photo Gallery application when the preview image of the document appears on screen. The HP PSC 2175 can only scan documents using HP Photo Gallery software. This program opens automatically after you press the printer's "Scan" button. Double click the "Library" icon to locate the file holding your scanned image.
