How to Get Movies on the NOOK Color

You can connect a NOOK Color to your PC to transfer videos.

The NOOK Color is primarily marketed for reading electronic books and magazines, but it is capable of holding other multimedia files. If you want to get movies on the NOOK Color, you can download them to your computer and then transfer them to the Nook. The NOOK Color comes with a USB cable specifically to transfer computer files, and you can get your videos onto the NOOK Color within a few minutes.

Instructions

1. Turn on your computer and your NOOK Color.

2. Plug a USB cable into the NOOK Color and into an open USB port on your PC. If this is your first time plugging the NOOK Color into your PC, a small bubble appears in the computer screen’s right hand corner as the drivers are installed. A second bubble appears once the device is ready to use.

3. Click on your computer’s “Start” button.

4. Click “Computer.”

5. Click on “Videos” from the left-hand task pane in the “Computer” window. This folder contains most of your computer’s movies. If you deliberately saved the movie elsewhere, navigate to that folder instead.

6. Click on the movie clip you want to add to the NOOK Color.

7. Press and hold the “Ctrl” key and the “C” key. This makes a copy of the file for use on your NOOK Color.

8. Click on the “Computer” option from the left-hand task pane to return to the main “Computer” window.

9. Click on the NOOK Color from underneath the “Devices with removable storage” heading.

10. Click on the “My Files” folder.

11. Click on the “Videos” folder.

12. Press “Ctrl” and “V” at the same time. The video pastes into your NOOK Color’s “Videos” folder, letting you view the movie on your NOOK Color.
