How to Hook Subwoofers to Computer

Connect your computer to an external subwoofer for improved bass.

Hook up subwoofers to the audio port on your computer to expand the sound capabilities of your system. The headphone jack on your computer is the audio out port. Your computer will automatically recognize the connection to the audio equipment and send the sound through your subwoofer speakers.

Things You'll Need

• 3.5 mm digital audio cable

Instructions

1. Turn off the subwoofer and unplug it from the electrical outlet before making any connections.

2. Insert one end of the digital audio cable into the headphone jack.

3. Connect the other end of the cable into the "Audio In" port on the rear of the subwoofer.

4. Plug the subwoofer's power cable into an electrical outlet.
