How to Hang Styrofoam Balls With Flowers for a Wedding
A gorgeous sphere of floral blooms makes a wonderful wedding decoration. The small floral balls that flower girls carry are called pomanders or kissing balls. Flower balls that are larger in size are often used to decorate the wedding pew, wedding aisle, head table or as table centerpieces for guest tables at receptions. But if you use a few craft items, these flower balls can also be hung at various points throughout your reception venue to beautify the space.

1
Select a Styrofoam ball that is covered with silk flowers. Avoid using a ball with real flowers as these will drip when hung.
-
2
Use a long metal skewer or a straightened wire coat hanger to make one small hole in the top middle of the ball that run the length of the ball.
-
-
3
Gently thread a piece of sturdy craft wire through this hole, leaving a 3-inch tail at the top.
-
4
Twist the end of the craft wire 90 degrees, forming a spiral that gets smaller as you twist. The flower ball will sit on this spiral once its hung. Trim off the excess wire.
-
5
Form the end of the 3-inch tail into a hook or a loop.
-
6
Tie a piece of fishing line or a complementing ribbon through the loop.
-
7
Hang the flower ball outside on trees for an outdoor wedding, off the back of chairs or on the ceiling. Attach a removable adhesive hook to the ceiling to hang the floral ball. Hang a row of flower balls at varied heights over the head table
