How Do I Get Something I Dropped in the Lint Trap of My Dryer Out?
The lint screen inside a dryer is designed to trap lint and other particles that could damage the dryer. The more lint and particles the lint screen collects, the more effective your dryer will perform. It's important to clean the screen before or after every load. A dirty or damaged screen can increase drying time, which may lead to unsatisfactory drying results. Turn off your dryer if it's on. If it's been running for a while, let it cool down.

Open the door, and then locate the compartment where the lint screen is stored. The compartment usually is on the bottom of the dryer's door opening. Refer to your dryer's manual if you don't know where your appliance's lint screen is located.

Pull the lint screen straight up. Roll lint off the screen with your fingers. Inspect the lint trap compartment for objects, such as paperclips and coins. Remove any obstructions and then reinstall the lint screen.

Do not run the dryer without the lint screen. Replace your lint screen if it's damaged, blocked or loose.
