If you are trying to read something with your Nook but the device freezes while on the home screen, you can try restarting it to fix the problem. Barnes & Noble’s Nook is a battery-powered portable device for reading e-books. It has a touch-sensitive screen and connects to the Internet for downloading books, magazines and newspapers. A list of your reading materials appears on the home screen, which you tap to start reading.

Instructions

      Turn the Nook over so its back is facing you. Locate the Power button on the back of the device near the bottom.

      Press the Nook’s “Power” button and hold it for 20 seconds, and then release the “Power” button.

    • 3

      Press the “Power” button once more and hold it for two seconds to restart the home screen.
