Your Panasonic TV's power light blinks when you power it off or on, or put it in Stand-by mode. For example, when you use the remote control to turn the TV off, the Power LED Indicator blinks orange for about 90 seconds until the cooling fan stops running. Examine when and why your TV's power light blinks to know what to expect and how best to react.

Press the "Power" button on the TV control panel to turn the TV off. Allow the TV's lamp cooling fan to continue to run until it stops completely. The Power LED Indicator should blink an orange color until the fan has stopped running.

Press the "Power" button on the TV control panel to turn the TV back on. Wait 10 seconds until the Power LED Indicator stops blinking green and stays a solid green color.

Press the "Power" button again to set the TV to operate in Stand-by mode. The Power LED Indicator should illuminate as a solid red color.

Press the "Power" button on the remote control to bring the TV out of Stand-by mode. Wait about 10 seconds for the Power LED Indicator to stop blinking green. Wait about 90 seconds for the Power LED Indicator to stop blinking orange and turn a solid red color.

Use the remote control instead of the TV control panel to turn the TV on and off. Set the Power mode the TV operates in by using the buttons on the TV's control panel, then operate the TV using the remote control.

Tips

Your TV takes longer to turn on if you set the Power mode to turn the TV off instead of to operate in Stand-by mode. This is because the TV's lamp cooling fan stops running when the TV is set to turn completely off. The lamp must be sufficiently cooled before the TV will turn back on.

Warnings

Damage to your TV can occur if you disconnect the power cord from the electrical wall outlet while the TV is in Stand-by mode. The Power LED Indicator blinks orange when the TV is in Stand-by mode.
