How to Change the Wristband on a Casio Wave Ceptor

The Casio Wave Ceptor range is a collection of timepieces in both digital and analog styles. To replace a wristband on the watches you must detach the spring bars, which hold the strap ends to the main watch casing. The spring bars are the same with either rubber, leather or metal straps.       Place the watch facedown on a soft surface.

      Insert the forked end of a spring-bar removal tool between the wristband and the case lug. Catch the shoulder of the spring bar and push down with the spring-bar tool to depress the spring bar.

      Pull the end of the watch strap out. Repeat the process on the other end of the wristband. Remove the spring bars from their slots on the wristband.

      Feed the spring bars into the slots on the new wristband.

      Insert one end of a spring bar into the pinhole of the case lug. Compress the other end of the spring bar with the spring-bar removal tool.

      Maneuver the compressed spring-bar end so that it is lined up with the pinhole on the case lug. Remove the spring-bar tool to allow the spring bar to snap into place. Repeat the process on the other end of the wristband.
