How to Get Max Attributes for the NBA

Playing in the NBA is only a dream for many individuals, but "NBA 2K11" allows players to come as close to that goal as possible. While playing this basketball simulation game, you can create a professional NBA athlete that you take from his rookie year until his retirement from the league. You can max out your created character's attributes to make him the most effective player on the court. "NBA 2K11" is available for the Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 2 and 3, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo Wii and personal computers.

Instructions

    • 1

Begin a new game of "NBA 2K11" and select the "My Player" game mode.

    • 2

Follow the on-screen prompts to create your character. Choose a name, physical appearance and the player's position. You can choose from point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward and center. The position that you choose will determine the height and weight of your character along with which attributes can be increased to certain levels.

    • 3

Assign your player to an NBDL team to begin the start of his career. The player will then take part in each game during the minor league season. Depending on how well you play in the game, the player will be awarded with attribute points to use in his development. During the game, the player will be given specific goals that he will have to meet in order to receive additional attribute points. For example, the player may have to make two three-point shots to earn the extra points.

    • 4

Assign points to certain attributes at the end of every game. Add the points into the category that will make the player most effective. Depending on what position the customized character plays, you will only be able to max out specific categories. For example, a point guard will not be able to have the maximum shot blocking ability due to height restrictions.

    • 5

Repeat Step 4 to max out your player's attributes. Save your game file after making changes to your character so you do not lose any of the work that you have completed on him. After the attributes reach their highest level, you will not be able to make any more changes to his playing abilities.

Tips & Warnings

  • As you develop your character in the NBDL, listen to the in-game information given from your talent manager. He will suggest which areas to build your player, but you do not have to take his advice and can add attribute points to any category that you choose.
