How to Glue Vellum Overlay to Paper
The use of vellum overlays allows for the creation of an extra dimensional layer on the project without creating extra bulk. Vellum, whether it's the plain variety or one of the many pretty, printed vellum overlays, adds a softly elegant finishing touch to many paper crafting projects, both as journaling blocks on scrapbook pages or as a finishing wrap on elegant greeting cards. Choosing the right adhesive and learning how to disguise ordinary adhesive marks is key to successfully using vellum overlays.

Tips & Warnings
The best adhesives to use on vellum are the ones that are specially formulated for vellum use. However, it is possible to use other types of glue, including ordinary double-sided tape, glue pens or white craft glue. Use wet craft glue sparingly as it can cause the vellum to buckle.
General craft adhesives will show through vellum overlays. Disguise them by first applying the glue in small dots, then placing stickers or brads over the finished overlay to hide the glue.
