How to Make a Music Podcast Successful
Creating a successful music podcast takes a great deal of time and effort. You may have to refine your presentation, content and marketing to draw attention to your podcast. Even with all that work, however, there is still no guarantee of becoming successful with your podcast.

1
Create outstanding content. The first step to creating a successful music podcast is to focus on what matters the most, which is the content that users listen to. If you are featuring songs, then make sure the audio quality of the music is excellent. Also, when speaking into the microphone, speak clearly and slowly enough for listeners to hear you and to understand you.
-
2
Keep your podcast material relatively short. The final audio file should be in the 15- to 20-minute range, especially if you are featuring full songs. Although you can go longer, remember that your listeners most likely have a limited time to listen to your podcast.

3
Organize your material before you start recording the podcast. If you are not prepared, your recording may sound unprofessional and disorganized. If you have any guests on your podcast, make sure you briefly prepare them for your interview before you start to record.
-
4
Design and use an attractive icon for your podcast. Eye-catching graphics draw the viewers' attention to your podcast and give you a greater chance of having more listeners. Also, write an informative, precise description about your podcast. Don't get too wordy, but reveal enough about your show.
-
5
Publish your podcast consistently. The publishing schedule should fit your lifestyle. For example, if you only have time once every two weeks to create, record and publish a podcast, then set a bi-weekly or even monthly publishing schedule. Stay with this schedule so your listeners know when to expect updates.
-
6
Use social media websites to your advantage. Create a Facebook page and Twitter account. Heavily promote your content on these networks and get feedback from users about the things they'd like to hear. Since you are creating a music podcast, ask your fans what new songs they've listened or musical news they are most excited about.
