How to Get the Lens in "Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door"
For such a spry fellow, Mario can sure be clumsy at times, such as when he accidentally crushes the contact lens belonging to Zess T in the Nintendo GameCube game "Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door." Zess T is the elderly chef and sister to Tayse T from the first "Paper Mario" game. She refuses to cook anything for Mario until the plumber finds her a replacement contact lens.

Exit Zess T's shop and head into the Toad Bazaar nearby.

Speak to the toad on the far right side of the room. He will order a new contact lens for Zess T, but it will not arrive for a while.

Continue playing through the game until you come to the end of Chapter 1. Start the second chapter when prompted.

Return to the Toad Bazaar. A contact lens will be on the counter and available for purchase.

Purchase the contact lens, then bring it to Zess T. She will agree to cook for you, though her sharp tongue will remain throughout the rest of the game.
