How to Make a Cell Phone Have WiFi Internet Without a Data Plan
A wireless cellular network is not the only way that you can connect your smartphone to the Internet. You can also use the phone's built-in wireless adapter to connect to the Internet through a Wi-Fi network. If you don't intend to use the Internet a lot on your phone, you can save money by not getting a data plan to access the Internet through your wireless carrier's network. Instead, connect to available Wi-Fi networks by accessing the Wi-Fi utility in your smartphone.
