Toga parties are common events at universities and colleges. They are often impromptu gatherings, with attendees receiving little notice of where and when they will occur, so putting together an elaborate toga is not always possible. Hold the sheet lengthwise in front of you so that the shortest part of the sheet is parallel to the floor.

Drape one corner of the bed sheet over your left shoulder so that 6 inches of the corner hang over your shoulder. Hold the corner in place with your chin or have a friend hold it in place for you.

Wrap the bed sheet snugly around your body, with the top of the sheet under your armpits. Continue wrapping the sheet around your body until you have reached the end of the sheet.

Drape the opposite corner of the sheet over your left shoulder, from the back. Secure the two ends of the sheet over your left shoulder using a safety pin. Tie a knot over the pin to conceal it.

Fasten a belt around your waist to keep the toga securely in place. Use additional safety pins to secure the sheet together around your legs if the toga gapes open when you walk.
