Drill plumbing holes in the tub before installation if water lines will be coming up from the floor and through the tub unit. Mark the location of the water lines and spigot on the underside of the unit. Drill a 5 mm pilot hole. Use a hole-cutting attachment to cut holes for the water lines and spigot, drilling directly on the finished side. No drilling is necessary if the water lines and spigot are installed in the wall.

Position the unit into the preframed tub area, aligning it over the drain pipe and any previously installed water lines. Ensure that all of the legs beneath the unit are in firm contact with the floor. Level the tub, using small, wooden shims beneath the feet as necessary.
