How to Restore an Android Stock
One of the most valuable features of the Android smartphone operating system is customization: there are hundreds of thousands of apps you can use and almost as many tweaks that you can apply to the OS. But what if you've messed up, and something isn't right with your phone? One of the easiest ways to quickly get your phone back in working order is to do a stock reset -- reverting your phone's software to its "Factory fresh" settings.

Tips & Warnings
While locally stored data on your phone will be erased, data synced with Google will be returned to your Android phone once you log in with your Google account. Synced data includes contacts, email, purchased apps, and in some cases photos, SMS and other data.
If for some reason you can't access the Android operating system, most Android phones have a built-in "hard reset" that allows you to perform the same function with a combination of button presses and holds. Each phone uses a different process -- consult your user manual or your manufacturer's support website for precise instructions.
