Instructions

    • 1

Place your baby sock flat on the table so its toe is facing you.

    • 2

Tightly roll up the sock, starting at the toe and going up until completely rolled. Keep the base of the sock even. The cuff of the sock should be on one side of the sock.

    • 3

Holding onto the rolled sock with one hand, turn the cuff of your sock inside out.

    • 4

Holding the cuff, bring it over the bottom of the rolled portion of the sock.

    • 5

Arrange the fabric with your fingers until it resembles a rose.

    • 6

Sew a few tacking stitches with thread and needle to secure the sock in place. These are simple stitches that go through the front and back of the fabric. Use thread in a color that matches the sock.

    • 7

Tuck a pipe cleaner into the base of your sock rose. Push the pipe cleaner far enough to support the rose, but not so far that it pokes the sock.

    • 8

Wrap a green satin ribbon around the pipe cleaner as you would if you were using floral tape on the stem of a flower. Repeat this process to make more baby sock roses.

    • 9

Place your bouquet of baby sock roses into a vase. Use greenery and baby's breath if you like, or fill the vase with iridescent shredded paper. Colored tissue paper can also be used to fill the vase.
