How to Make a Paper Baseball Hat for Scrapbooking
Scrapbooking can be a fun project for an entire family. Baseball fans can get in on the action by creating paper baseball hats to place in the scrapbook. Use these hats to celebrate your favorite teams. Making a paper baseball hat is a simple process. The hat will be flat, because it must fit on the flat pages of the scrapbook. This project can be done by children ages 5 and up, and by any adult willing to do a small craft project.

1
Pick your favorite team's baseball cap and use it as a guide for drawing your own baseball cap. Place the cap next to your work area as a guide.
-
2
Draw your baseball cap on the construction paper at a slight angle so that you can see the front of the cap, the rim and most of the roundness of the cap. Use a pencil to sketch it in lightly. Fix mistakes with an eraser.

3
Create your team logo on the front of the cap using pencils. Skew the image at an angle so it fits in with the skewed angle of the rest of your cap.
-
4
Ink in your lines using a pen. Trace along the pencil marks as accurately as possible to make your hat well-defined and so that each line sticks out easily.
-
5
Cut out your hat using scissors. Cut along the outside edges slowly and evenly, keeping the hat moving as you cut. Remove the hat from the surrounding paper and trim the rough edges with the scissors to make them as straight as possible.
-
6
Color your hat, using your real baseball cap as a guide. Color slowly and with short strokes. Color in the same direction each time to give your hat an even-looking color. Fill in the details of your logo in the same way.
-
7
Roll up a piece of tape so that it is sticky all the way around. Stick one side of it to your hat and place the hat in your scrapbook. Add other details to the page, such as baseball statistics or facts.
