How to Clean Chrome With Toothpaste

Regular toothpaste's mild abrasive qualities make it an ideal chrome cleaner. The gentle scrubbing action can remove stains and spotting without harming the mirror-like finish.

Things You'll Need

• Toothpaste, non-gel
• 2 soft cloths

Instructions

1. Apply a dime-sized amount of regular, non-gel toothpaste to a soft, damp cloth.

2. Rub the toothpaste onto the chrome in a thin, even layer.

3. Buff the chrome with a clean, dry cloth until it shines.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not use gel, whitening or tartar-control toothpastes on chrome or other metals. Gel is ineffective, and the others are too harsh for some metals.
