How to Locate a Facebook ID
Creating a Facebook ID -- formally called a username on the site -- makes it easier for other people to locate you on the social networking site. Likewise, once you have the ID of another user, returning to her Facebook profile in the future is very quick. If the user has not created a personalized or vanity username, her ID consists of numbers. If she has created a vanity username, her ID may include numbers and letters. You are allowed to see the Facebook ID of any other user, even if you are not friends, provided she has not put you on her block list.
Instructions

-
1
Log in to your Facebook account.
-
2
Point your browser to the profile of the person whose ID you want to know. Either use the search engine at the top of your Facebook page to locate a user, or click on her name in your friend list or next to one of her posts.
-
-
3
Click on the "Info" tab beneath the user's profile picture.
-
4
Scroll down to the bottom of the "Info" screen, to the "Contact Information" section to view a vanity username -- the ID is located in the "Facebook" line. In the future, type "www.facebook.com" and then "/" followed by the ID to reach the user's profile directly. For example, if your friend's ID is "jdoe," type "www.facebook.com/jdoe" into your Web browser to reach his Facebook profile.

Find the ID for a user who has not chosen a vanity username by looking in the URL field at the top of your browser window. The user's ID is a series of numbers, preceded by "id=". If you want to find the original ID of someone who has claimed a vanity username, including yourself, right-click on her profile picture and select "Copy Image Location." Paste the code in a word processing program, such as Notepad, and look for "id=" followed by a series of numbers, which represents her old ID number.
